The work is very finely executed with precision and neatness with colors still very sharp.
The scene is very clear and vivid with colors, Mary with Jesus sitting on her lap and both showing their red Sacred Hearts.
The frame in filigree Vermeil ( Gold plated sterling silver) is extremely fine, very well and neatly made, a real beauty and seldom seen shape.
The miniature and frame date from the late part of the 19th century.
Both are in pristine condition.
The Vermeil chain is included with the pendant. It is dating very probably from the later second half of the 20th century.
