Presented here is an exceptional hand painted Miniature of the Virgin Mary in Prayer mounted in a 800/1000 hallmarked Silver Filigree setting with Turquoise stones. It has a dual use : Brooch as well as pendant.
The setting dates back to the later part of the first half of the 20th Century – 1930 to 1950. The marvelous hand painted miniature is probably older than the setting, it is signed and painted on an unknown base, probably noble material.
It is in Pristine condition.
All particularities in this item contribute to make this a very rare item of high quality. 800/1000 Silver purity was the standard for hand made jewelry in Italy at the indicated period.
It is also very rare to find wearable items of this fineness. High definition large pictures show that no single micro mosaic chip is missing
