Vintage Sardinian Dark Salmon Coral & Sterling Silver Rosary in Sterling Chatelaine Box - Rare Gift

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection.

The items in this listing are very rare and exquisite and have the following characteristics:

A) The Rosary

1) The rosary is a 5 decade complete Catholic Rosary made with top quality Sardinian Coral beads. All metal parts are Sterling Silver. The Aves are Coral 4.5 mm dia on average beads and the Paters are 4.5 mm dia Sterling Silver beads.

2) The hallmark on the cross, as well as that on the center, are French hallmarks for Sterling Silver.

3) Beads are top quality Sardinian Dark Salmon Coral. Such coral is very rare nowadays as harvesting is forbidden. As they are hand carved these sizes may differ slightly from one to the other, this is why an
average is mentioned.

4) The cross is 35 x 23 mm with a typical art Deco Style . This allows us to date the rosary to the 1920-1930 period.

5) The total length of the rosary is 39 centimeters. The weight of the rosary is 13 grams .

6) This rosary is greatly attractive, very rare and this is a unique opportunity to own such an old item in such an excellent pristine condition.

The Rosary will not go over the head to be worn.

B) The Box

1) The rosary is presented in a silver repoussé Chatelaine box which has a typical art Deco style very much like the cross. The Box is in excellent condition

2) The box is very probably of the same period and is not hallmarked for silver but tested

3) The weight of the box is 37 grams. Diameter is 40 mm.
The chain as in shown in the picture is NOT for sale and not included in the set. It just serves the purpose of the description.
