18K. Solid Gold & Faceted Amtehyst Catholic Rosary in Shell Box, DD 1934 High Rarity

All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

This is a 5 decade Catholic Rosary of French origin dating from 1934 in pristine condition.

It is made of AA quality rare hand faceted Amethyst beads and 18 Carat solid gold : chain, center and cross. Many French Eagle hallmarks.

The Ave beads are 6 mm in diameter and the Pater beads are 7 mm.

The cross and the Center are hallmarked with 18 K French gold marks of the eagle's head and the chain has been tested.

Total weight of the rosary is 24 grams - of which minimum 9 grams are 18K gold.

Total length is 41 cm. It will not go over the head to be worn.

The rosary is presented in a rare and thin box made of T. shell of top quality and rarely seen. All metal parts of the box are sterling silver. The knowledgeable will easily understand the value of this box.
Dimensions of the box are 7 x 5 x 1 cm or 2.8 x 2 x 0.4 in. Very thin but just the good size for the rosary to easily carry in a pocket or a bag. It is light weight - 28 grams like T shell is always.

The rosary dates of 1934 as is indicated on the reverse of the cross and the box is a perfectly suitable container to protect the rosary and complete the set. It very surely is of an older date very probably late 19th century to very early 20th.

It is especially charming and completely hand made. The way the beads and cross have been made is clearly seen from the close ups.

This rosary is a top notch item in superb condition with beautiful hand carved faceted amethyst and 18K solid gold metral parts as well as its box. It is an extremely attractive, very seldom seen and a unique opportunity with an excellent price.
