19th Cent. Very rare Saint Peter Medallion Hand Painted Limoges Enamel Antique Medalion 18 K. Gold Frame. Gift Chain

Medallion dating from the lte 19th Century, representing St Peter holding the Keys of Heaven, hand painted miniature on Copper and enameled and set in an 18 Carat Solid Gold frame. This Enameled miniature is from Limoges, France.

The medallion was framed at a more recent date. The frame is 18 Carat Gold and has a weight of 2.3 grams of solid Gold.

Dimensions are 45 x 45 mm without bail. This is a cruciform medal ( With shape of cross)

Total weight is 9.50 grams

Pristine condition, excellent state and beautiful design. It is a rare item by the fineness of its work and the high relief enamel and bright colors.

May be worn immediately.
