a) It is round with a diameter of 21.2 mm ( without bail)
b) Its weight is 4.5 grams
c) It is made using the “Plique-à-jour” technique : Plique-à-jour (French for "letting in daylight") is a vitreous enameling technique where the enamel is applied in cells, similar to cloisonné, but with no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel.
d) The pendant is high relief and made in France. It represents Jesus Christ showing his sacred heart.
e) It is hallmarked with the Eagle's head which is the French hallmark for 18K Gold.
f) It has a plain the reverse and it has the particularity of being Red plique à jour which is seldom seen
as the only color and the subject itself is very seldom seen in Plique-à-jour medals so it is a double
rarity.
