The rare item in this listing has the following characteristics:

This is a Bavarian Catholic 5 decade rosary dating from the mid 19th century. It is made of Sterling filigree Silver and natural genuine Garnet stones hand faceted

1. 6.5 mm average dia. Vintage Garnet faceted beads for the Ave Marias with an awesome red color and beautiful shine.

2. 9.5 x 9.5 mm Filigree Silver Pater Beads typically Bavarian.

3. A very nice Sterling Silver Filigree typically Bavarian Reliquary cross 55 x 40 mm. with Ceramic enameled inserts on both sides. Please look at the picture closely.
The cross contains a sealed relic as most Bavarian early rosaries do.

4. Credo Cross typical of the Bavarian Rosaries : 25 x 25 mm

5- Medallion with gold insert of Mary and child on both sides : 20 x 20 mm

6. Total length of the rosary is 56 cm (22.4 in.)

It will easily go over the head to be worn.

This is a typical example of the Antique Bavarian Filigree silver chained Rosaries in 5 decades. It is a great and very rare item, in pristine condition to own in a collection as well as use in every-day life.

It is exceptional as complete and in very nice condition, dating from the mid 19th century - over 150 years old!
