Dated 1888 Faceted Pink Crystal & Sterling Catholic Rosary - All Beads Silver Capped - French- Pristine -V.Rare

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection. They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old. All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

This is a French Rosary dating from 1888 - in pristine condition

1) 7 mm average Vintage hand faceted Crystal beads for the Ave Marias and same beads for the Pater Nosters . All beads are capped with sterling silver bead caps.

2) The beads are definitely hand made in view of the small variations in size and shape. They have a splendid color and shine. This quality of Crystal is very rarely seen as quite heavy and of a fantastic shine, very possibly from Gablonz where the bet crystal was produced at the time.

3) STERLING SILVER cross 42X 28 mm with the bail. Sterling Hallmarked. The center is also in Sterling Silver

5. All Metal parts are Sterling Silver.

6. Total length : 52 cm (21 in.) -- Total weight : 73.2grams - Heavy - Due to silver and high density quality crystal - This is a large item. It will easily go over the head to be eventually worn.

7. Very interesting and rare First communion medal in excellent pristine confition .
On the obverse a first communion scene at the Church there is a rarely seen portrayal of jesus with angels during a first communion and on the reverse three inscriptions and a monogram MB
A- date of birth : 3 September 1877
B- date of first communion : 24 May 1888
C- date of Confirmation - 24 May 1888
This means that the person to whom it belonged was about 11 years old and made his frist communion an Confirmation together.
The medal is really awesome. Sterling French hallmarks - weight of medl alone 6.7 grams

This item is exceptional and of great rarity, it is over 100 years old and still in great condition. Very heavy in Sterling with great design and a beautiful glow and sparkle.

This item has surely been passed on through generations - it is a great heirloom.
