Dd 1890 Amethyst & Sterling Silver Awesome Catholic Rosary w Many Medals – French - Rare

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection. They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old. All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

The item in this listing has the following characteristics:

This is a French Rosary dating from 1890, antique and in perfect condition

1) 8.75 mm average dia. Vintage faceted Amethyst beads for the Ave Marias and same beads but sterling capped for the Pater Nosters .

2) The beads are top quality amethyst and definitely hand made in view of the small variations in size and shape.

3) STERLING SILVER cross 50 X 30 mm with the bail. Please look at the picture closely. Definitely Art Nouveau with stylized flowery patterns . The center also in Sterling Silver also has the same style,

5. All Metal parts are Sterling Silver.

6. Total length : 55 cm (22 in.) -- Total weight : 78 grams - Heavy - - This is a large item. It will easily go over the head to be eventually worn.

7. Attached are sterling silver medals:
a- A first communion medal with a communion scenery in obverse and a writing "PR COMMUNION" and on the reverse a date : 25 May 1890
b- A beautiful double faced medal of Jesus and Mary on each side.
c- A beautiful and large sterling medal of the Congregation of Mary' Children with a monogram : M.L.L.
d- A double face sterling Silver medal of with Mary on one side and the Lourdes Grotto apparition on the other.

This item is exceptional and of great rarity, it is over 100 years old and still in great condition. Very heavy in Sterling with great Art Nouveau design.

This item has surely been passed on through generations - it is a great heirloom.
