Presented here is a unique jewelry item composed of a cross and a rope chain in Sterling and Vermeil.
The crucifix in the center is vermeil, made at the turn of the XXth century, it is Russian.
On the reverse is an inscription in Cyrillic the meaning of which is " BLESS AND SAVE" --- ( Spasi i sokhrain , when transliterated)
The crucifix has been encased in a hand made sophisticated cross paved with cubic zirconium stones of high quality.. Pictures show clearly the whole design.
It is in pristine condition. It has a great design with a lot of fine metal work . A true work of art. Rare and impressive.
Dimensions of the cross are : 50 x 35 mm ( 2 x 1.4 in.) excluding the bail. Thickness is 5 mm (0.2 in.)
Weight of the medal alone is 18.2 grams
The chain is 81 cm long and 36.4 grams in weight.
Total Sterling Silver and Vermeil weight : 54.60 grams.
The chain being quite long will allow to be worn double as in the photo.
