Presented here is a very special, thus rare, Vintage porcelain medal of the Sacred Heart of Mary. It is a hand painted miniature on porcelain, then Kiln fired and inserted in a Vermeil frame with zircons all around.
Origin of the miniature is very probably Italy.
The medal is in pristine condition and it is sold WITH the chain in the picture.
The chain is a gold plated silver - Vermeil- rosary chain- hand made - with faceted carnelian beads . The chain and the frame are not of the same period as the medal but much newer.
The chain is 42 cm long it has been made short so that the whole is worn short. If an extender is needed please advise and it wil be provided.
It is a very fine and nice item to wear. With its very special shape it is quite unique.
Dimensions of the medal are : 30 x 20 mm or 1.2 x 0.8 in. ( excluding bail)
Weight of the framed medal and chain is 7.5 grams and the chain is 42 cm long. ( 17 in.)
