Vintage Catholic Rosary Faceted Gold Baltic Amber & Sterling w Open Work Silver and Gold 1st Communion Medal DD 1905 Extreme Rarity

All Antique and Vintage Rosaries that I list come from my private collection. They are genuine antiques – older than 100 years – or genuine vintages – from 30 to 100 years old. All are in perfect condition and still very much usable. They are unique and a real pleasure to collect or still use.

The very exceptional item in this listing has the following characteristics:

The rosary is dated 1905 as indicated on the open work silver and gold medal of the First Communion Medal representing the Guardian Angek and a Gold Chalice, attached under the triangle. It is made of rare and valuable materials.

1) The beads are genuine Baltic Amber of a beautiful gold color and diamond hand faceted as may seen from close ups. It is of top quality, color and exceptional carving as beads are practically all identical - only very minimal size deviations only due to hand work.
The Ave beads have an average diameter of 9 mm - The Pater beads are bigger and sterling capped with an average diameter of 11 mm.

2) All Metal Parts of the rosary itself : chain, center, cross, Pater bead caps, all are Sterling Silver.

3) The attached medal is Sterling Silver and Gold, It is open work as may easily be seen from the close up pictures and also of the picture of the reverse. On the reverse, it is monogramed with M.P. and the date of 21 May 1905 is carved. It is signed by the famous French engraver Garnier.

4) Total length of the rosary is 55 cm ( 22 in) and the weight is 45.3 grams.

5) It will easily go over the head to be worn. Any size will do .

Pictures under Ultra Violet light show the special color that Genuine Amber takes under such lighting.

This is an extremely rare - in fact, unique - and very valuable item, made of rare and expensive materials . It is in excellent condition and may still serve many generations as it is a heirloom to keep and pass on.
